NEULANDS
This page is dedicated to the images that I am currently working on. 'Neulands' in German means, 'unexplored regions'. Every time I hold a camera this is where I am going, even if in familiar locations. Themes may well occur on the other pages of this website, as many are close to home. And, because you never take the same image twice, especially in landscape photography; going back and taking a view again, at a different time of the day or year gives a totally different result. Anyone who says, 'oh, I have a picture of that', has not learnt the value of repetition. All the great artists, painted the same subject multiple times - there is more than one Blue Rigi, by Turner - as all the great photographers have 'gone to the same spot' to find Neulands.
